Wording Care Sewing
Care for a poem, what do you think?

Black Heart of Misery

My impression, misfortuned heart,
Unlikely conquered by someone,
Unable to give to anyone,
Black and frozen by one.

Lost in a pool of self doubt and misery,
Try to pull out it's attracted by self pity,
Blinded by riding on loves liberty,
lost in its delivery.

Subtly told,
scratch only the surface of what you hold,
Neutralizes the feeling with excuses sold,
Humbled by words their bold,
Your touch is so cold,
Escape your fantasy is folded.

No, not rejection,
Just a vague description,
Categorized to fit religion,
Important to your life's decisions.

My eye have opened,
I feel invaded,
My mind raided,
by the beliefs that were painted.

I'd rather be loathed, then live in the aftermath of the seed you've sewn.

What do you think?

Very nice poem here, Heaven Sent. It's got a haunting message in it throughout its entirety. I feel like this directed towards a specific individual, rather than having been written in a general sense. I actually really love these last lines:

"My eye have opened,
I feel invaded,
My mind raided,
by the beliefs that were painted."

Taken in a general sense, this is (to me) the rude awakening of a person from a life of ignorance and bliss to the reality of our situation. Thus, the feeling of having been invaded. As always, thanks for sharing, peace.
