Wedding centerpiece ideas?
i rented some cylinder clear vases for my wedding centerpieces..... there are 3 per centerpiece in all different heights.... i wanted to do water with a floating candle on top of each..... i dont like flowers and was thinking what i could put in the water... i received an idea of marbles at the bottom and then tying x-mas garland to a washer and the garland will float up to the top.... id like that water to sparkle a bit and have a cool glittery effect.... glitter doesnt float down just to the top....any ideas? colors are blue theme is daisy's
um- you don't like flowers, and youre wedding theme is daisy's?! makes no sense...
i wouldn't put a washer in a clear cylinder vases- you would see the washer & it (along with christmas garland) would look a little "trailer park wedding" i think
HOWEVER,
if you wanted to add a little sparkle to the vases, you can get (at any craft store) a very easy to use glass etching kit, which you can use (you can either buy a stencil if you're not very artistic, or draw freehand) that to draw daisy's, or your names, or initials, or whatever, and then take a VERY fine paintbrush and some gold or silver paint and run it along the edge of the etching design. i did this for a party once, and it was SO easy & inexpensive, but everyone thought that i had had them engraved- and that the silver was real!
and it would be something that can be reused by whoever takes the centerpiece home.
