prom dress alterations?
okay, i got a prom dress. im just wondering how on earth you could alter it. i need about an inch off the waist and quite a bit from the boobs. the butt is perfect. but i may also need an inch from the bottom. i could not find pics of my dress online.. but this is similar to the front:

it is a v-neck, but mine is a halter that has hook-eye closures at the neck. it has a v-neck that goes to the bottom of my boobs. it has the slit. and it has a very open back. the chest part looks as though it were for a D while i am a B. when i lift up on the halter part, shortening the straps, the chest part gaps on the sides and looks a little off. how could this be fixed? plus, my dress has a bit of a train with very delicate silk.. and i probably need an inch off the front.. how could u do this with the slit?

either get a dress that is closer to fitting (maybe just needs a hem) or look for a good tailor/dressmaker in your area for this more extensive alteration.
